For The Needy

The Christian Legal Aid Office (CLAO) seeks to provide free legal advice and representation to the needy who aretext served by missions, shelters and churches. Our volunteer attorneys provide pro bono legal services for individuals who meet our case selection criteria, and whose circumstances fall within our poverty guidelines.

 
Family Court

The CLAO will advise and represent needy clients in appropriate cases who have custody, visitation and child support issues with respect to their children. Divorce proceedings are not initiated.

 
Debt Collection

In appropriate cases CLAO volunteers can counsel clients on debt repayment and collection harassment issues.
Landlord - Tenant

The CLAO will seek to support volunteer lawyers who can advise and represent needy clients in appropriate cases with landlord-tenant problems and eviction defense.
Litigation

As God provides, CLAO volunteer lawyers may be available to represent the destitute or working poor in civil litigation
